BaseCap Invest
BaseCap is a Sydney-based property company that provides property and loan investment products for the Australian Investor Market, including eligible foreign investors.
BaseCap’s project focus are Industrial and Residential Land Subdivisions and built projects in Sydney’s Growth Corridors, such as Marsden Park, Austral, Leppington and Luddenham.
BaseCap develops each site to sell the completed project, not to hold and lease. We thereby target Project Profit Margins and are not reliant on appreciation in property asset prices to generate investor returns. This strategy shortens the investment term risk whilst providing a defined exit strategy for investors.
As a guide, our completed subdivision projects are valued at $60M, with minimum Investor amounts of $50K.

Michael spearheads Capital Solutions at BaseCap and has 20 years experience in the property and finance industries. His primary focus is that of capital management and executing the strategic direction for the broader BaseCap business.
Key responsibilities include property syndicates, loan investments and project finance across the capital stack for property acquisitions and developments.
Prior to BaseCap, Michael’s finance career spanned across Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo and London for Tier 1 investment banks, including UBS AG and Barclays Capital. He has over 15 years’ experience dealing with institutional clients across the financial and real estate markets.
Michael’s extensive background in structuring and syndicating benchmark size transactions for global financial institutions, throughout the capital structure, in local and overseas markets has refined his investment acumen and fostered strong industry networks. His expertise in structuring financial product is most aptly evidenced through the landmark deal that restructured Lloyds Bank’s GBP10 billion hybrid regulatory capital in London during the height of the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.
Michael is an AFMA accredited dealer and an FCA (UK) accredited dealer across Securities and Derivatives. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance & Accounting from Victoria University Wellington and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance (FINSIA).

Ryan has 20 years experience in the property industry and has development managed and delivered landmark projects in the Sydney and greater NSW region. Previously employed by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu before venturing into the construction industry, he has developed industrial parks, Hi-tech warehouses, medical centres, retail, office, childcare and residential stock. Ryan specialises in light-industrial parks and residential subdivisions and housing.
Ryan spearheads the operations at BaseCap Developments division, overseeing and executing a multitude of projects concurrently under the BDEV Portfolio. Ryan’s role as Development Manager has been to find strategic land to acquire and execute projects from feasibility through to project delivery and end salle. Ryan’s expertise is contract negotiation and tendering, DA planning, financing and management of the marketing and construction process through to completion.
Ryan has a Bachelor of Economics and a Masters in Commerce from Sydney University and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from FINSIA.
